Meet Summy, your AI assistant
Summy is Colab’s AI assistant (your company may have given the bot another name). Just ask in plain language, for example “What tasks do I have open?” or “I paid 250 baht for a taxi yesterday”. Summy uses Colab’s tools to read and change your real data — it does not answer from memory.
Where you can talk to Summy
| Where | Good for |
|---|---|
| A private chat with the bot in LINE | Your own requests, reminders, approving things, sending photos of receipts |
| A LINE group the bot is in | Asking or assigning work together with your team — call the bot by name first |
| AI › AI chat on the web | Longer conversations, attaching files, choosing a model, keeping conversations |
| The floating chat button in the corner | Quick questions from any page without leaving what you are doing |
Before you can chat in LINE you need to link LINE. On the web you can start straight away if your account has the AI chat feature turned on.
Start chatting in AI chat on the web
- Go to AI › AI chat in the menu
- Press New conversation, or pick one of the suggested questions on the screen
- Type your question and send it. You can attach files by dragging them in
- Use the Conversation options button to Add instructions, Pin, Copy conversation, Export as Markdown, Save to Knowledge or Delete
For a quick question, press the Open AI chat button in the corner. Press Open full screen if you want to carry on in the AI chat page.
If you want Summy to answer the way you like every time (for example short answers, or always in English), go to Settings › AI chat › Your assistant’s personality and write your instructions there.
What Summy can do
What Summy can do depends on the features your account has and on your role. Generally it can:
- View, add and change tasks, goals, notes and projects
- Record and track expenses, and show what is awaiting approval
- Find files in Files, and in OneDrive/SharePoint once you have connected Microsoft 365
- Give work to agents and check their progress
- Answer “how do I…” questions by reading this help center
If it does not have enough information, Summy asks you rather than guessing. If it cannot do something or you do not have permission, Summy says so plainly or calls in someone from your team to help.
AI can make mistakes. Always check numbers, names and dates before you rely on them.
Confirmation cards
For some things Summy will not act straight away even when you ask — for example running an automation, changing an agent’s settings, deleting a file in OneDrive or changing company data. Instead, Summy sends you a Confirm before acting card in the LINE chat.
- Read the details on the card to see what will happen
- Press Confirm if it is right, or Cancel if it is not
- The buttons work for 10 minutes and can be pressed once. Only the person who asked can press them, even when the card is in a group
These things cannot be done through AI chat on the web, because there is no card to press there. Summy tells you to do it yourself on the website and gives you a link to the page.
Summy takes you to the page you need
When something has to be done on the website, Summy sends you a link to that page — for example a link to Awaiting approval to answer a request, or a button to connect your Microsoft account or calendar. Account-connection buttons work only once, and if you ask in a group, the button is sent to your private chat.
Try typing
- “Summarise my tasks for this week”
- “Remind me at 9 tomorrow to call the customer”
- “What is waiting for my approval?”
- “How do I submit an expense claim?”
